Cancer Support Group for
Asian Lesbians (CSGals) is a support
group that provides an encouraging, safe, and comfortable space
for Asian lesbians to discuss living with the diagnosis of cancer, and
facing current and future challenges.
- Are you a cancer survivor or have you been
affected by cancer?
- Are you having a difficult time dealing with the
emotional and physical changes in your life?
- Would you like to meet other Asian lesbians
with similar experiences and learn their coping strategies?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please come and join
the Cancer Support Group for Asian Lesbians (CSGals), a group founded
by two local Asian lesbians who have survived and wish to reach out to
help other Asian sisters affected by cancer. For more info, please call
our voice mail at (415) 292-3420, press 1 for English, and press 513 to
leave a message. Or, just email us at

Support our very own Pam Low --
Climb Against the Odds, Mt. Shasta 2004
Climbing Mt. Shasta and
preventing the environmental links to breast cancer is within our
reach. The Breast Cancer Fund's fifth major mountain climb expedition, Climb
Against the Odds - Mt. Shasta 2004, will be held July 5 - 11,
2004.
And, our very own Pam Low is
climbing it! Please support this deserving organization and your
donation is fully tax-deductible
for a very good cause. You may donate
online or check out Pam's personal message at www.gogirl.chariteam.com.
Climb Against the Odds - Mt. Shasta 2004
will represent a team of climbers working together to reach the summit
and help prevent breast cancer. This highly visible expedition will
raise awareness and funding to support The Breast Cancer Fund's mission
to identify -- and advocate for elimination of -- the environmental and
other preventable causes of the disease. This inspirational team will
strive to raise $500,000 over the next 9 months along with training for
their mountaineering expidition.
The team follows in the tradition of The Breast Cancer
Fund's past expeditions: Mt. Aconcagua, Argentina in 1995; Alaska's Mt.
McKinley in 1998; Mt Fuji, Japan in 2000; and Mt. Shasta, California in
2003. Each climb not only proved each climber's determination to fight
breast cancer, but also brought worldwide attention to the breast
cancer epidemic. Through these climbs and related projects, The Breast
Cancer Fund has raised over $3 million in support of our work to end
breast cancer. Prevention Starts Here.
